On Friday March 2nd over 500 people came to the Massry Center for the Arts at the College of St. Rose to celebrate the 13th Annual Juried High School Regional. This year over 500 works from 20 regional school districts were submitted. Only 100 works of art were chosen to display through a special jurying process. Students came to celebrate this accomplishment with family and loved ones and to listen to guest speaker Tim Rollins speak about the importance of a Fine Arts Education and his experience with a group he founded called the K.O.S. crew (Kids of Survival). Maple Hill High School was represented by Brittni Curtin, Caitlin Wemette, Matthew Fiebke, Ian Myers, Samatha Giacomino, Kirsten Geracitano and Alicia Rivers-Barton. This was the second year that both Ian and Matt have been included in this prestigious show. Congratulations to all of the artists and their families. This is a great accomplishment.
